AMDO CARDIGAN

$550.00

Details:

Amdo is one of the three traditional Tibetan regions northeast. Amdo encompasses a large area from the Machu (Yellow River) to the Drichu (Yangtze). Amdo is mostly coterminous with China's present-day Qinghai province but also includes small portions of Sichuan and Gansu provinces.

Yaks are long-haired cattle found throughout the Himalayan region as well as Myanmar, Yunnan, Sichuan, and as far north as Mongolia and Siberia. The soft undercoat layer that protects them from cold winters is called Khullu. Its characteristics are very soft and warm. Yaks naturally shed their hair in the early summers, when harvesting happens, without clipping. The rearing process does not involve any genetic modification or abuse, such as conventional wool. Fibers are processed naturally.
